Huge shout out to Mark Sherman who is judging this weekend at Winter Cup. Also to all the auxiliary judges that are volunteering their time this weekend, Kevin Muenz, Eric Briley, Sean Sims, DeRyan Pressley, Travis Blue, Jorge Sandoval, Travis Coulbourn, Courtney Parker and Carlos Hernandez-Ojeda.
This is the first of a series of competitions that will select the National teams.

November 11, 2021 - Thank you to those that attended one of the TGJA courses. We hosted two in person courses and one virtual course this year that included judges from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Thank you Mark Sherman, Kevin Muenz, Cameron Sweny and Eric Briley for your hard work and preparation to present the new rules to us. If you attended one of these courses all NGJA exams are posted for you to log in and complete. At this time we are starting the State Course for our younger judges. All of these presentations are posted under Education. They are helpful for all the judges. October 26th, 2021 - NGJA Houston course took place this last weekend at Kingwood HS. 22 judges came from around Texas and surrounding states to attend. We had everything from first year judges to veteran judges gather to go over the new Code of Points. There is one last opportunity to attend a course in Texas, this weekend in San Angelo at Central High School. October 11, 2021-NGJA Dallas course was this past weekend at Highland Park HS. With 30 plus judges in the training, there was some great dialogue and interactive learning going on. The next Texas course is at Kingwood HS the weekend of October 23-24. Please fill out the TGJA Registration prior to your course. September 7, 2021 - If you were unable to join us in Austin this weekend you missed some great lectures on the new rules. You also missed the "Best" lecture ever! Once we get all the lectures from the presenters there will be a link posted here that will allow you to go through and check it all out. August 12, 2021 - All news related to the TGJA, August 2021 Newsletter, as we are gearing up for re-certification season and moving into competition season. June 25, 2021 - Texas again represented on the National stage sending 5 judges to Olympic Trials in St. Louis, Missouri. Kevin Muenz, Mark Sherman & Zach Gagnon sat on the PBar & High Bar panels, while Chris Muenz and DeRyan Pressley were Auxiliary judges. June 4, 2021 - Greg Kester represented Texas as one of three NGJA members at the 2021 Senior Pan American Championships. June 3, 2021 - US Championships in Ft. Worth, Texas; 14 Texas Judges had the opportunity to be on the floor for this competition that selected the athletes that would advanced to the Olympic Trials, Kevin Muenz, Mark Sherman & Zach Gagnon sat on the PBar & High Bar panels and 11 auxiliary judges were spread out on other events (Travis Coulbourn, Andrew Parker, Chris Muenz, DeRyan Pressley, Carlos Ojeda, Cameron Sweny, Eric Briley, Amanda Stroud, Travis Blue & Courtney Parker) It is not everyday that a state has so much representation on the floor of a national meet. May 24, 2021 - 50 Years of Service May 13, 2021 - Development Program National Championships; Texas judges were represented by three of our peers, Amanda Stroud (High Bar NAL), Michael Pena (Pommel) and Chris Muenz (PBars). April 23, 2021 - Rome Milan's Passing April 20, 2021 - Last night we there was a celebration in honor of Rome Milan. He was awarded The Emil Milan THSGCA HALL OF HONOR, the highest award that the THSGCA gives out.
